The tartan is officially registered https://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tartanDetails?ref=12422 , and is the only official Masonic Tartan in the State of New Mexico. These kilts and scarves are unique, as the tartan registry only allows milling with the express permission of the Worshipful Master of Sandia Mountain Lodge #72. Only five of these kilts exist on earth. The tartan represents a unique connection to the Sandia Mountains, to the blue lodge, and to the State of New Mexico. Each kilt comes with a matching scarf, allowing your partner or yourself to show off this beautiful and unique tartan. The lightweight wool sits well and makes this kilt versatile enough to handle formal events as well as sporting events.
Winning tickets will be drawn on Dec 1st 2020, You do not need to be present.
Winners will be contacted to obtain measurements for kilts. Kilts will be made custom to the winner's measurements, and take 6-8 weeks to be sewn and shipped from Scotland.
Sandia Mountain Lodge is doing this donation drive to raise funds for a new building!
We are currently renting a barracks originally from Sandia National Labs that is situated behind the Grand Lodge of New Mexico. The building has served us well for some time, but it's time for us to start saving up for the future. The building fund was established in 2018 in our bylaws, and requires the fund be set aside only for the purchase of a new lodge building. We love our home, but our lodge is growing, our building is old and we're looking forward to the future.
